We believe your hands already know good fabric before your mind has processed it. That first brush of LUOLAI silk — cool, weightless, impossibly smooth — is not a coincidence. It is the result of sourcing only 6A-grade long-filament mulberry silk, woven at a density of 20 momme to ensure a surface that drapes rather than clings, breathes rather than traps.
What "authentic materials" actually means:
- Mulberry Silk (Morus alba): Harvested from single-species silkworms fed exclusively on white mulberry leaves. This controlled diet produces the most uniform, longest filaments available — the only silk grade worth calling luxury.
- Long-Staple Cotton: We use only extra-long-staple (ELS) cotton — the top 3% of the global harvest — with a staple length exceeding 38mm. Shorter fibres pill. Ours do not.
- Tencel™ Lyocell: Sourced through a closed-loop production process, where 99% of the water and solvent used is recovered and reused. Sustainability does not have to be scratchy.
Every material we choose passes a 12-point quality audit before it enters production. If it does not meet our standard, it does not reach your bedroom.
"The difference between a good night's sleep and a great one is written in the thread count — but also in every decision made long before the fabric reached the loom."
