34 Years. One Standard: The Best.

LUOLAI was founded in 1992 in Nantong, China — a city that has been weaving silk and cotton for over 1,000 years. That geography is not coincidence; it is inheritance. The Yangtze River Delta has always been where China's finest textile knowledge concentrates: in the mills, in the master weavers, in the generations of families who measure quality in thread counts, hand-feel, and the sound a well-made fabric makes when it moves.

The craft practices we preserve:

Silk Selection by Hand Before any LUOLAI silk product leaves the mill, a senior textile technician inspects the cocoon batches by eye and touch. Automated grading captures most defects. Human judgement catches the rest.

Traditional Yarn Twisting Our sateen cotton fabrics use a four-shaft satin weave structure inherited from traditional Chinese loom technique, modified for modern tension control. The result: a fabric that has the sheen of high-thread-count Egyptian cotton with the structural integrity of a technical weave.

The OEKO-TEX® Standard Heritage without accountability is just nostalgia. Every LUOLAI fabric carries OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification, guaranteeing freedom from over 100 harmful substances. The same hands that preserve ancient technique also ensure that no shortcut in chemistry reaches your skin.

Designed for UAE Living

The UAE climate presents a specific challenge: air-conditioned interiors drop to 18–20°C while outdoor temperatures exceed 40°C. Our Cooling Collection — featuring moisture-wicking Tencel and dual-layer ice-touch fibre — was developed specifically for this thermal contrast. Traditional craftsmanship. Desert-smart design.
